I believe bc calls everything west of the pct a cascade rosie, thats a stud masher super toad of a bull regardless of which side or state it was shot in...bulls like that keep me going year round
There is a website that lists trophy categories and they do seem to differentiate between cascade and other westside animals.  They do this with elk and deer.
:yeah:I believe the 'Washington state big game record book' has many categories, including benchlegs...cascade bucks.

Hmmm interesting..seems harsh to compare a Winston bull to a daton bull but I guess that's how it goes..

I wish there was a category for DIY, public land,OTC elk...an maybe move the I5 boundary east based on genetics

My buddy got a nice 6 point in the Yale unit years ago. Typical rosie, however we were 10 miles east of I-5 and his bull was scored as a Rocky Mt. Had we been West of I-5 it would have made B&C.     Location, location, location

The definition does seem silly but I guess they have to draw the line somewhere.

I figured the pic would surface at some point. I had the pic the day it got shot but I would not post due to  no permission. Hope someone does not get to upset over this.
Great animal though
If its brown knock it down

Pics are always decieving for me, With just this pic I might tend to agree it looks like a stud but possibly shy of 400. Having seen the side and and ATL photos of this bulls and the tine length and beam length   :yike:  I could see this bull hitting the 400 mark  Monster bull for sure.

Imo it was not a cool move to post that stuff unless she said go ahead.  I know I wouldn't of done it. Like others I've had the pic for quite awhile.

Maybe she and her husband don't want a bunch of Internet trolls putting in for that permit now that had no idea of the quality it held prior to that picture being posted. I'll bet that you see the number of applicants for that hunt go up next year. And the number of general season report chasers in the unit will be up as well.

Perhaps. But this is all under the assumption the OP of the pic did not have permission. And while I agree that pics shouldn't be shared without permission, I am also a realist when it comes to todays data sharing devices, and would be willing to bet pics were flying around behind the scenes last time the conversation of this bull came up.
