Hard to believe a January elk and no snow.  What a weird year.  That hoof rot doesn't look nearly as bad as what we've seen in the past.  Most we have shot are oozing and wet with all kinds of nasties.  Wish ours had been like that.  I ordered a new pack because I can't get that smell out of mine after two years...and the hoof never even came close to it.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
