I am going to start carrying a second release for the times I tend to forget it in the truck or under a tree when I strip down layers.

I may drop the camera from my gear list.  Its really the only non essential thing I carry.   I am pretty lean.

gonna start carrying binos in timber--had to pass on a bull last month at 100 yards at dusk because I couldn't verify 100% that it was a legal 3 pt :bash:

Thinking about getting a new pack, but not sure what to go with. I have a Eureka Outfitter now, taco pack that expands. I have had pretty good luck with it and packed quite a bit with it, but it is starting to fall apart even after repairs and digging into my hip. Any suggestions?

New pack - badlands 2200.  Maybe adding a range finder and\or spotting scope.  Might upgrade to a better headlamp.

Reducing knife count from 3 to 1.

Do need a better sleeping pad.  Getting old  :bash:

Keeping my game bags  :chuckle:

I was sold on this new water filter.  Fits in-line with a camel back and does 100,000 gallons of water.  Only weights 2.5 oz's too.  And best part about it is that it only cost 22.00
