No bivy nights for me yet.  I have a highcamp 7K that I would use in that scenario but would trade it straight up for a emr II. ;)

I switched to new a backpack this year.  Love my Mystery Ranch crew cab, but looking to shed weight so am going with the Kuiu Ultra 6000/1800 combo this year for the longer pack trips.  And dropping 10lbs of my midsection.  Combined those two changes drops 15+lbs.  Already swapped out my other gear in years past, so not much else to cut out of gear.

Made some nice changes recently. Prettyexcited.... I'm getting a nice pile of gear slowly but surely.

Picked up a Stoic Ti pot, a Kuiu Icon with 6000 and 3000 inch bags, and just bought a Golite SL3 for my new shelter.
Picked up a T/C Black Diamond XR smoke pole, a pile of Jason Phelps' calls, and some new Sitka gear.

I've roadtested it a couple times, Karl. I love it. It's a big upgrade from what I had.
Thanks!

For the hunts I referenced you do, unless you are a poacher.

I'm glad you guys posted this!  I found similar stuff from Jockey about ten years ago and it was fantastic.  At the price I kept it stored for active hunting and hiking work and not everyday wear.  So it lasted until last year.  Now the venting is getting a little extreme and the package isn't always wrapped so well :o  Went to get some new and could not find it anywhere.  This is just the tip I needed   Now I can keep my Ben & Jerry's cool as recommended :chuckle:

Couldn't resist posting this clip.  Anyone remember this?

He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I can attest that the Ex officio boxers are great.

They dry fast, and prevent chaffing!  Worth every penny, I use them on all hikes, climbs and hunts.
