Ah, that must be one of Ruger's modifications--A dovetail front sight as opposed to the press-in front sights on the Walther.The Walther came with a set of front sights, a low, medium, and high, with the medium height one installed. They get knocked off very easily, which is one of the reasons I got the Hi-Viz sight, plus the fiber optic red dot is easier to get on target. They are a fun gun to shoot, and mine is actually the second one I bought. My squirrel shooting buddy fell in love with my first one, so I sold it to him, and bought a new one for myself. My new one has a thicker slide, because the first ones had a problem with the slide cracking.I like the Hi-Viz front sight, and would never go back to the originals. I think you will find it a much better sight!
