Bloodline Opinions?
« on: January 24, 2014, 02:31:03 AM »
So to start off I'm new to muzzleloading and one thing I never realized, was all the different options that come along with it. This off season I have upgraded to a knight bighorn 50 and was thinking about grabbing some bloodlines to try out and was just curious what your opinions or experiences with them. Also where I hunt is usually really thick brush normally shooting within 100 yds, so if you have any other suggestions to what I should try I greatly appreciate it.

I've shot two deer with Bloodlines, and they are amazing.  On game, the base of the bullet punches right through, while six sharp "petals" fragment away from the nose of the bullet, each cutting a separate wound channel.  Let's just say that performance on game is excellent, resulting in quick kills.  And a side benefit... no lead fragments in meat!

On the range, I have achieved excellent consistency with the Bloodlines.  And cleaning the gun is much easier than with an all-lead bullet, since the Bloodline is shot with a plastic sabot.

I've seen two deer shot with bloodlines. One at 60 and the other at 112 yards. Awesome knockdown power. Clean pass through with both. Fragments from front of hollow point went there separate ways like advertised and does great internal damage. These were 300 grain bloodlines.
Wonder how they would do on elk
Maturity is when you have the power to destroy someone who did you wrong but instead you breathe, walk away, and let life take care of them.

I have had great luck with them. This year shot a deer at about 130 yards alittle far back hit the liver and the peddles went in every direction. the deer went 50 yards and went down stone dead.

They certainly work for me! Would not even think of changing.

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!
