For a .22lr, I think the most important thing is to find the round that is the most accurate for your rifle.
I also love the Segmented rounds by CCI. Just as fast as the stinger, but shatter into 3 pieces... as mentioned above.-- http://www.cci-ammunition.com/products/detail.aspx?use=1&loadNo=0064
Looks like CCI has some pretty good .22 ammo products. I guess I need to pay closer attention to those once the store shelves start filling up again.Quote from: actionshooter on February 05, 2014, 08:34:47 PMFor a .22lr, I think the most important thing is to find the round that is the most accurate for your rifle. Either I've found it or my rifle (a standard Ruger carbine) just shoots very accurately. I bought a new scope with a trajectory compensation system (BSA Sweet 22) and went beyond my standard 50 yard shot to 100 yards and I put 10 shots in a 2" grouping with a pretty poor bench rest setup. I was using Remmington hollow points. I need to improve my bench rest and give it another shot to see if I can improve on that.By the way, big props to that BSA Sweet 22 scope. Love that thing and it was pretty inexpensive to boot!
I bought the same scope for my 10/22, haven't put it on yet.
