Wow, Idaho is kicking up the cost... Montana is already up high enough...

It is getting expensive for our hobby called hunting. :-(

I was recently doing some research on antlerless elk tags in other states. Discovered that Colorado is going from $350 to $450 for a NR cow elk tag.  :yike:

The other Colorado tags are going up as well, but not a significant amount.

They better not after the big increase we already had recently. I really doubt the WDFW would even consider it. I'm pretty sure they realize the prices are already at the upper limit of what people are willing and able to pay.

WDFW doesnt have to consider it.....that will be done for them.

Damn, bad news on Colorado, just had a buddy move there with a nice setup on the White River, plenty of property.  Was planning a trip there soon, guess it may just coust a little more like everywhere/everything else these days.  Probably have to bring my hen, might as well fill a couple freezers if I'm paying that much.

With Jay Inslee as Governor now, I predict that they'll go up next year!  The libs already voted to have that Socialist on the Seattle City Council!  We are SKREWED!

Inslee already hiked up our personal plate fees to payoff the ranchers. Pure discrimination.......
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Makes sense for Idaho to raise fees on state residents I guess, They raised the fees on non-residents a couple years ago.

I got my idaho postcard and license letter the other week remindig mte to buh next years license. Prices were the same as this year... for nr at least. They were advertising a discounted rate if you buy a 3 year license. It was like 4 $ savings to buy 3 years at once over 3 individual years..   :dunno:

The 20% fee increase is for residents only.  NR fee increases are not being proposed at this time...which I suspect will go over like a lead balloon.

In 2012 (don't have 2013 regs w me), resident hunt license was 12.75, deer tag 19.75, and elk tag 30.75.  I would think a 20% increase on res tags would bring more money in than raising non res fees and chasing more non res away.  The res fees are still a lot cheaper than ours.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

From the 2013 regs;  They don't break it down into separate categories, but a Big Game License W/Deer & Elk tag is $84.50, for a resident.  $739 for a non-resident.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but your figures for 2012 add up to $63.25 for the same thing.  That's a $21.25 increase in 1 year.  By my math, that's a 34% increase.  Just in case they're wondering why less people bought Big Game licenses this year...  Can't wait to see what they'll want next year!  :dunno:
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

I've scaled back my tags just like the last 3 years. Archery deer small game waterfowl... thats it... May consider doing just waterfowl... OR may try and go the route of just predator hunting...  :dunno:

I'll be 100% predator in a few years - wolves will be on the menu.
Hey were was that thread about the guy BBQ'n his wolf?  Said it tasted good!

Oh and the meat eater video of them eating a yote....

Maybe I'll have Dale change my user name to WWhunter   Wedge Wolf hunter  :chuckle:
(seriously, can I reserve rights to that name?)
