Muzzle loaders legal in WA?

Lets form a list of all in lines that are washington legal. Ive been curious about this myself. And have thought about buying a more modern style weapon.

The T/C guns are my first choice, but dont seem to have any they manufacture that are Wash legal? The ones that are look to be out of production.

Ihave a T/C Thunderhawk in 54 and Blackdiamond in 50. Glad I got em when I did. All the catalogs I get have about nothing legal anymore.

Afriend of mine just bought a Knight Wolverine thats perfectly legal. Got it at Sportco for around $150. Joe's had them on sale for around the same. Seems like a decent quality gun and he says its a good shooter.

cva has a few.
i have a .50 bolthunter magnum...it's a bolt action with 3 way ignition. just set it up properly and you are good to go.
if you look at the cabelas catalogs they are actually listing a few that are wa legal...

I have a Thompson Firehawk & a Thompson BlackDiamond and they both shoot real good!

Knight Disc Extreme, 52 CAL
Knight Rifles modified the Bolt ( Its Called "the Western Kit") to make it legal in WA and exposing the Cap to the Elements They do it for FREE!!!! It takes the old #11, Muskets or can have 209 if you change the Bolt back.

 Its the New .52 Caliber and It is sweet!!  I Upgraded from a .50 Bighorn to .52 for the long range. My family hunts in Iowa where muzzle loaders are like Modern rifles out here on the west side. They can have scopes and my cousin swears he hits 300 yds with 18 inches hold over.  I can say that I have hit the 200 yd target at Clark County GC with my peep sights but I can hardly see the Dam target.  I will let any one come shoot this thing so they can see the difference of the Calibers!!!  I really liked my Bighorn but now it just sits in the Safe......

That is interesting. So you believe the range is increased that much? Accuracy would seem to be good too. I'll take a look at that rifle. Right now I shoot and old TC thunderhawk. Very reliable and very accurate with the right load.  In washington we cannot use a 209 primer. Must use either a regular cap or a musket cap. Just another dumb rule but still a rule.

Ive seen a couple of bolt action style inline's that have had a 1/4 inch hole drilled in the bolt face to expose the cap to the elements but I think it's a fine line.

Id go with a black diamond T/C  seen a couple at Joes lately

I shoot a T/C thunderhawk, thus the name. 

The local gun shops around here have a Traditions that is a break open action.  I believe it is called a pursuit western addition, don't hold me to that.  Has anybody else heard of this or used yet.  I guess there new to the market.

On a side note, anyone thinking of purchasing a new ML should wait until the new rules come out.........I have a feeling they are going to change some ML rules.  Although, I doubt they will make more restrictions..........you never know.

If it is a break open action, I don't see how it could be legal.  It doesn't seem like you would be able to use a #11 or musket cap and how would the nipple be exposed to the elements?

From the picture on there website, there looks to be an exposed hole.  My step-dad has already looked into these.  Just want somebody to give feedback before pulling the trigger on a new M/L.  Still don't know if I could give up the trusty thunderhawk though.
