Csnt comment on gunwerks directly. But I cant understand why you would need to send your gun off to have this done. If your scope has replaceable turrets there are other places where you can order custom turrets yourself like Kenton industries for example. I much prefer just using Moa dials and correcting with a ballistic calculator. But you could just make a table ad tape to the stock as well. Once you have a custom dial done up (I have one on one gun) you are limited to that load, and elevation, weather for accurate result. Within 500 or so yards I feel comfortable most times as I have a pretty good grasp of adding or subtracting clicks depending on conditions but outside 500 yArds I will always calculate a solution with current weather info and shot angle etc...

Its 400 bucks to send them your gun, they install the ballistic turrets, ballistic profile your rifle, they shoot it, send you the target. Ammunition is extra

Way to much money. I checked with Kenton for my Zeiss and it was $175 if my memory serves me right. They didn't need my rifle either.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Leupold charges $90. No rifle. Ballistic data and maybe a drop chart? Can't remember for sure.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Not really sure what the service does for you  :dunno: i feel you'd be way ahead doing everything yourself with just a moa cap and a chart...your gona have to double check everything they do any how so its not like it would save you time

Seems like a waste of coin  :twocents:

Sorry about being a Debbie downer

Complete waste of money. Leupold charges under $90 to put a turret on a scope. If you do the load development and you put the time and effort into it you will understand it and know what you and the gun are capable of. The thing I dislike about botw and gunwerkes is they try and sell a long range shooter in a can. "Pick up this gun today and kill out to 1000 yards". What they don't show you on the show is all the misses and wounded game.

Go with the Leupold and learn the system from 100 yard 0 out to your effective range.

I bought a custom turret for my Nikon 4.5x14 that will take my 300 WSM out to 640 yds. I've also got a cheat sheet on the side of the same rifle that takes it out to 1144 yds. Wouldn't shoot that far but it's fun to practice. I shot at a rock at 856 yds with 2 misses and the third shot being a hit. I didn't allow enough for the wind on the first 2. Quite a few of the scope companies have the custom turrets you can get now if you send them the stats.

Definitely over priced.  You can do the same thing by downloading a ballistic program, or using an online one and then have Kenton or Leupold build one depending on scope.  If you need a ballistic chart to check drops with your rifle, let me know and I can make one and email it to you.
