bobcat-
I was about to pull the trigger on an M80 when I noticed it said it doesn't come with the cable or software.  Do you need some special software to view the pictures on your computer?  Thanks in advance!

You don't need the software or the cable. The software is only for viewing pictures taken in plot watching mode, or whatever they call it. For your typical trail camera use there's no need for that special software.

UPS just dropped off 3 of these refurbished M80's today from Rodgers and they look brand new. Total price, $189.54 delivered.  I bought 2 of these cams new retail for a lot more and have been really pleased with them so I pulled the trigger on getting these.  Best feature IMO is they use AA batteries so you can load lithium batts.  When it gets REALLY cold, lithium will still function when alkaline locks up.  Picture quality is exactly what bobcats are like.  Best deal on game cams.

I just bought two of the refurbished M-80 from rogers and one did not work when I pulled the battery tray out, you can see battery corrosion all over and the contacts inside are totally corroded as well I will be sending it back ASAP.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. You'd think they would test them before they go out.

I don't own any trail cams yet but when considering what I will ultimately buy Ill have to ask myself whether a model that is often sold as refurbished is a good investment.  Why are there so many of certain models that require refurbishment? :dunno:

Because they are all "Made in China"?  :chuckle:  :dunno:  My two Wildgame cameras seem to work good--except that the one that uses "C" size batteries has dismal battery life.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

I called rogers and told them I needed to send my camera back because it doesn't work, They said they would send a new one and throw in a return label for the old one to be sent back. Sounds like a stand up outfit to me.

*Update* So as all of you know I bought a refurbished Truth Cam Ultra 46 Back a few months back from natchez...
The camera wound up being a dud and not holding a brand new set of batteries for longer then a day or two without dieing. :bash: Took 2 diff sets of brand new double A batteries to figure this out.
Contacted Bushnell, They had me send the camera back in for repairs.
Today on my doorstep, There was a brand new in the package Truth Cam Ultra 46 waiting for me  Cant wait to get this thing out and try all over again to see how it works.
Great customer service.
