One BT buck that made it through rifle season
« on: November 19, 2008, 08:14:58 PM »
My father had a couple pics of this buck through October, but only at night.

Then on the day before the opener of late buck he got a bunch of pictures in the day time. All of them were 45-60 minutes apart. This buck came in about every hour from daylight until two.

All the pics were of just the buck, then this one with a doe and guess what? No more buck! We surmised that with all the rain the day or two before he lost track of the does and he knew they would come back around.

Nope, no deer for me. First rifle tag in 20+ years that I have not filled and only the second blank in that time frame. I am really thinking about getting a couple cage traps for some screwing around.

I havn't decided if I am going to get any traps this year or not.  I've got a bunch of work to do and I can't be going out every day to check my traps.  Was thinking about buying 1 or 2 for just screwing around.  Ohh well their is always next year.
