strothers wrath bow issues
« on: March 13, 2014, 10:31:04 AM »
purchased last years model of strothers wrath.  having a couple of issues with it.  when i look through my peep site all i see is the cables. so this morning i call the company and there is an issue with the piece holding the cable ways.  they have made a new part so hopefully get it replaced next week.  i hope others are not experiencing this problem if so contact the company and they will send you the part.  i did explain to the rep i purchased this years qad drop rest and tommy hogg site so this bow should be amazing but was not.  did shoot a couple of arrows and the fletching kept hitting the cables.  hope the part works or will be sending it back to company to figure it out.  never had an issue like this before on my other bow made by alpine.  Hopefully they figure it for me.  everyone have a nice weekend.

Take that piece off and put a good cable slide on it. If you need help with it send me a PM I've done quite a few.

That was a common problem with last years Strothers.  Even at the show guys were complaining...and those should have been their good stuff.  But I'm sure by now they have the solution figured out.  The replacement should get it shooting fine.  Haven't yet heard guys complaining about the fix.

well here is the update.  very pissed at the company rite now.  they sent the part and was delivered but not to my house.  no tracking number i really think they never even sent it out then i call sportsmans where i bought it from and the manager is going to have his archery guy look at it.  i hope they have another bow to replace it.  i guess i will learn from the best.  i guess i may have to upgrade to mathews how it is going.  will let every one know how it goes tonight.  every one have a wonderful day.   :yike:

Not to make excuses as Strothers was the one that agreed to send parts.  But the majority of bow companies will not work directly with the end consumer.  Usually due to liability issues as well as a professional courtesy to their authorized service network.

bow is fixed.  took it back to the shop last night.  had them tune it back in and do a little adjusting.  now my bow is hot at 20 yards.  cannot wait to go to the range this weekend and see what this bow can really do.  it only took 2 adjustments to get the sights dead on last night.  thanks sportsmans warehouse archery in silverdale wa.  you guys did an outstanding job.
