2012 cummins
« on: March 24, 2014, 07:40:22 PM »
Finally bit the bullet and bought a new truck, I felt sick for a while after buying it because I typically don't spend this kind of money. After having it for a bit, and realizing how much easier it will make my life I now feel better. Here it is, my 2012 cummins. I went to dave smith motors and got a smoking deal on this truck and was amazed by the service I received from these guys. There's a reason their the worlds larger dodge dealership. These guys rock! Totally happy with the truck.

I've had 3 Cummins trucks.  They are the best.

I've owned 5 Dodge Cummings trucks all sticks and all awesome.... after the warranty is up consider the EGR deletion kits to do away with all the Emission BS, Buddy with an 07 got 2 mpg per gallon better mileage! Motors are strong and bullet proof. I bet i have 500k miles in a truck with that motor!

You can always rip it off... Ours was a long bed as well. If you ever get to thinking about a flatbed, I have the guy for you. Does great work, completely custom, and priced better than any I know of at the quality of work. Did you end up with a manual or auto? Neat thing about ours - vinyl floors. That sold me right away. They couldn't get rid of it, so we got a great price. Who the hell wants carpeted floors anyways? Take 'er easy Jesse, and enjoy the new ride.

I have a '12 and it has been great but so was my '98, that being said Friday when we were packing to go to the cabin I lifted the back under seat compartment lid to find the compartment filled with about 5 inch's of water. only way it could have got there was from the back, so a quick look on the dodge forums and I found out that this is not uncommon, either the 3rd tail light or the roof seal leaks water, the water comes down the back and into the compartments. i have mold under the back seats and carpet is soaked. I now have to find out if Dodge is going to cover it even though I have over 36K miles on truck. Don't mean to highjack your thread but something to keep an eye on, by the way great truck you'll love it!

Its been the best rig Ive ever owned.  Bulletproof, and I use it.

I'll have that truck until the body rusts off the frame, then Ill drive it round the hay field

Had an 06 lincoln mark lt that would let the water in through the third brake light/ cargo light. Take a small cup of water and pour it on the light, bet you'll see it running down the inside of the rear window.
