Do any of you fellas get the 3rd degree from other hunters on why use use an AR ? Around my house, it's normal to use anything without question....

Remember Jim Zumbo? Made a comment about keeping military rifles on the battlefield. Lost a lot of support and readers. Personally I love the AR platform for hunting and target shooting. If someone has a problem with that. Pound sand! build a bridge and get over it  :twocents:  :brew:

Didn't you want a Creedmoor ?

I'm going to hold off on the Creedmoor, there may be a real cool 6.5 option for the AR15 here in the future. 😉

Sound very cool. Can't wait to see it!

Me too

I'm sure Zumbo thought he was coming from a point of ethics but in reality, was just as fooled by the aesthetics of the AR platform as the anti gunners are. It's no different than hunting with any other semi-auto, especially in states which have a magazine capacity limit for hunting. I've said it many times before: we hunters need to support any method of legal and ethical hunting regardless of whether you personally practice that method. If you feel strongly enough to lobby for a rules change then go for it. Until that happens, pointing fingers at other hunters just allows the antis time to sit back and watch the fray while we all try to impose our own personal sets of values. It's BS and it hurts us.

Does Washington have a magazine capacity limit for hunting?  I've checked the regs and see nothing. Bought a new cmmg mk ar10 on .308 to try out this year instead of my 06.

No limit yet for big game. Federal limit on waterfowl of three. Upland limit?
