So, Biggerhammer is the one who designed and built this gun with me. I should have final construction done by the end of this weekend. Details later. Right now, my wife wants me because with this gun, I'm a stud. Thanks BH!

Nice build so far.  Tell the truth.  You went around the house, going "Pew. Pew. Pew."  Didn't you?

The PRS is a heavy beast.  If you are carrying it afield, few things are lighter/nicer than an A2 fixed stock.  But they are easy to change in any event.

I've been pew, pew-ing all morning since I got the lower done.  :chuckle: Assembling the lower was way easier than I thought it would be. I appreciate the advise on the stock, Flounderz, but I don't think the weight will be a big problem, especially with the SPR barrel. Had I gone with a match barrel, that'd be another story. With the 24" barrel though, I do want some rear weight weight to balance it out a bit. Also, I picture most of my shooting from a fixed position, hunting predators over a field, etc. I want to touch this baby off so badly right now it's not funny. It's been about a 4 month project.

I can't say enough how much biggerhammer has helped me get into this AR. Without his advise and help, I wouldn't have know where to start and probably would've bought something off the shelf that I wouldn't have been happy with. I got to choose every aspect of this firearm from the color and finish scheme to the specific barrel, stock, bolt carrier, etc. If someone's thinking about their first AR, at least talk to him and get advise on options. For what you pay to buy off the shelf, you can put something better together and do it with your specific needs in mind.

Yeah, that's a huge factor for the popularity.  With so many companies making so many different versions of the parts you can come up with countess unique combinations.  And machining/special tools are not a huge factor if any at all.  The 10-22 has a similar significance due to this.

Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans.
