Some of the Andersons have had fit problems, hence the $40 price tag, but overall they are pretty good for the money.

The PSA's are about the same price and I have never had an issue with one of them.   

My Anderson functions just fine after the modifications.

I just threw a new one together,  (it took about 4 months to collect the parts) last week.
 Wanted to go with 6.5mm and couldn't make up my mind between 6.5CM or 260, eventually found a good deal on the barrel along with a bunch of 260 brass, so 260 it is. Groups are looking promising, but not quite dialed yet.

What would be the correct twist for 120-129 grain bullets in the 6.5 grendel ? I will be shooting only factory ammo for quite awhile.

It would depend on for what use you build it. I would say that a longer barrel will help stability for long range shooting. The longer the barrel the more it spins before it comes out the end. But, it's also heavier. If you're using it as a big game hunting platform that you'll be lugging through the woods, you probably don't need 3 twists or the extra weight. Mine was built specifically for coyotes and a fixed position, and it's heavier than most tracked artillery pieces. For under 500 yards, I can't see that it would make a huge amount of difference, especially if you're using factory loads, anyway. I'm sure there are quite a few shooters on here with way more experience who might disagree with what I've written, though.

I haven't decided what it's intended purpose is yet.I chose the grendel because i have heard nothing but good things about it and i don't like the idea of being out in the field for any reason with a rifle that is not legal for big game.I know that may sound silly to some people.I sold the first AR i built because i didn't really get into it but after a while i decided i needed another one.

18-20 is perfect for hunting/long range  Longer barrels imo would be just for bench shooting. Unless you want to pack around the longer barrel. I have a 18 inch 1/8 and couldn't be happier. Sub moa all day with 123 grain Amax an 100 grain Amax. You won't be disappointed with Grendel

It could be just wording, but this sounds like a misunderstanding of twist rate to me.

The bullet is twisting at the correct rate as soon as it fully engages the rifling - a longer barrel doesn't affect that. A longer barrel generally gives higher velocity, so of course the bullet spins faster at higher velocity, but the rate of twist doesn't change.

I think what was meant is that if you had a 1=8 twist barrel @ 16", you'd get two revolutions of the bullet before exiting the barrel.  1-8 @24" would give you 3 revolutions...

One full turn for every 8 inches. HENCE 1 AN 8. Depends on cali but your only gaining  20/30 fps per inch.
