I would say that a longer barrel will help stability for long range shooting. The longer the barrel the more it spins before it comes out the end.

It could be just wording, but this sounds like a misunderstanding of twist rate to me. The bullet is twisting at the correct rate as soon as it fully engages the rifling - a longer barrel doesn't affect that. A longer barrel generally gives higher velocity, so of course the bullet spins faster at higher velocity, but the rate of twist doesn't change.
