Saw this snake in a slash pile this weekend in stevens county. Anyone know what kind it is and if their common around here? I've never seen one like that before.

Not too much to report these days in Merriams turkey camp. Last weekend was a hard hunt in Stevens county. We were on birds, but had bad weather to deal with and I can honestly say that our good ole merriams gave us fits to try to hunt. So this weekend we relocated closer to home in Central Wa.  :bdid: Didnt hear a bird gobble all weekend. Very frustrating.  :bash: However we got lucky this morning and my buddy manged to salvage a jake out of the hunt as he came sneaking in around 10:00 am this morning to investigate the decoy. Now, he lies just one eastern short of a mini slam of his own, and I'll be around next weekend to try to help him close the deal. We'll see how the late season easterns decide to treat us.  :peep:
