Elk 2 Sagedawg 0
« on: November 23, 2008, 04:42:56 PM »
Been chasing muzzy elk for the last 4 days here on the Eastside . A couple of chances but couldnt seal the deal. Might be able to get out before the season ends to try again, so theres still hope.  Anyone else do any good?

Saw a big 6x6 behind out place on Saturday pheasant hunting.......had him at 60 yards.  Too bad I already killed one with my bow.   Having my wife buy a muzzy elk tag this week - maybe she can get her first bull Thanksgiving morning!

Yeah, it is down at the river.  He ran in Sunday morning of the rifle opener and has been hanging around.  He travels a pretty big loop though, the neighbors saw him about five miles away a couple weeks ago.  My wife is all excited, she just finished hunter's ed this fall!  Gonna start her out with the smoke pole if we have time.  The real mission this weekend is killing big whitey!

BnB, the elk knew where I was at and thought it was best to find greener pasture......lol. No I didnt connect, and the last few days that I got to go out it was so foggy that you could have been leaning on a bull and not know it. Always next year to look forward to though.
