my dogs have got into a porcupine twice in the last 2 weeks starting to get expensive I have a live trap and am just curious as to what do porcupines like or what would be the best way to get RID of him

In Africa they catch porcupines using bones as bait. Even though those aren't the same porcupines I'd try it. I'd use cut apples as bait too. Hell, in BC, I was told porcupines LOVE plywood

I caught a few in Oregon. They are hard to keep out of a baited cat set.
I've been told that to catch them use a sponge soaked in saltwater.
