Caught this guy in the steel pile this morning. Pictured with my weapon of choice, the only one within reach. While I can't give a precise velocity, energy was sufficient.😉

The tip of that is pretty interesting looking.  Now does that have a Secant or Tangent Ogive, or is that one of those new Hybrid designs from Sears and Roebuck by chance?? :chuckle:

I worked with a guy that was a damn good baseball player in school and he beaned one in the head with a rock at about 20 yards once.  Killed it deader than dead, one shot, one kill. lol

Hmmm, seeing this makes me feel pretty silly as I've spent thousands of dollars on precision built full custom rifles and to think all I really needed was a $30 pry bar from Sears and Roebuck.

Nice job by the way!

A 2x4 was all that was handy for this guy, worked almost as well as the bar.

Looks like velocity was a bit low on the second for the desired mushrooming of the 2x4!  :chuckle: is a claw hammer next?

Round three of the gopher fest needs to fall to a thrown spear. Way old school.
