Won't catch me paying $300 for a map that 50 other people could have as well. Might be an expensive treasure hunt to a pumpkin patch.

Check your facts. He doesn't give the same map to multiple people.

:yeah:
I believe he only does them if someone orders them and I don't think he does more than a handful a year.

I know a guy who got a map last year. It was for a hunt for his kids. Two tags...Two deer I seem to remember how the story goes.

Wife and I got the bear map a few years ago on her first spring bear hunt.  We only stumbled across one other hunter and Bearpaw told us he was there.  I've now seen over a dozen bear in areas he specifically marked.

If the elk map is for NE Washington that's not a particularly huge elk area so I assume you will find elk hunters if there are elk there.  But, that's better than wasting your time in an area with no hunters and no elk either!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

i bought a couple of his DIY maps a few years back for the late whitetail up there and i was very impressed. due to unforeseen badly timed events i wasnt able to really hunt but a couple days. what i did see in the areas he highlighted on the maps he sent it would have been only a matter of time before i filled my tag but as i said i simply wasnt able to hunt the area properly.

I would buy his DIY maps again in a heart beat, well worth the money

He helps me out last year with a map for my spring bear. Never saw another hunter... He pointed me in the right direction and I saw 3 bears in 3 days, killing one of them. All in the areas he highlighted on the map. Well worth it to me as it's about a 6 hour drive for me so scouting is tough and I was completely new to the area.

I've bought 2 maps from Dale. The first one was for fall bear. No joking here a total of 1.5 hours later after leaving his place I had a great bear on the ground. The second was for deer and I saw deer everyday and if it wasn't for me not paying attention I would have had a dandy whitetail. His maps are the the real deal!

I suppose I stand corrected. I've looked into them before but was under the impression that they were duplicates of the same map. I agree if you don't have time to scout the areas and the maps help fill your tag, it's worth the $300

Several years ago I bought one of his DIY maps for late season whitetail.  Went to his house and talked w/Dale and he drew on a map for me.  Great guy.  Great map too.  Although I didn't put an arrow in the big whitetail I was chasing, my buddy shot a very nice 145" whitetail.

Thanks again Dale!

I think the maps have helped a lot of hunters, I try to do the best I can with each one of them that I make. THANKS for all the kind comments from everyone, I'm very glad I was able to help you all.
