I was on the fence about Peaches with my multi-season tag finally giving me eastside chances.  But, since I despise hunting crowded woods I decided to go blues instead.  Probably a mistake since I have been in poor shape recently, but what the heck, I can't get drawn for a multi-season deer so what makes me think I can actually draw a good permit in the same year as the MSE.  Dang pipe dream if you ask me.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Every year I have been in there with tag holders every year we see less bulls. When my son had the peaches muzzy about 6or7 years ago saw lots a bulls.in the taneum side. Hunted archery 2 years later on the little.naches side saw some bulls. Last year archery I was with a tag holder really slim in the little naches. Usually see or hear lots going on getting less bulls in there.

Just my thoughts  here, the bulls and quality has been getting better every year.  Steep and deep.  An average bull, 5x5 or young 6x6 is fairly common.  350 plus is not a pipe dream.  Not sure of why but it is awesome to see the quality of bulls in the past 3 years.  There is some monsters, but they didnt get to be huge standing near roads.  Scouting is key, miles and miles and most wont put that kind of effort into a hunt.  The first branch antlered bull that steps out usually eats dirt.

From my knowledge the big boys have not had cows during peak rut over the past few years! Why I dont know. Big Nasty had cows but he was one of a few tgat had lady company.

I know of one bull that if he made it through the winter will give any blues bull a run for the money.

I wouldn't put in for that tag!  There are some real shady camps up there! :chuckle:

Maybe so, but that average number they provide is misleading.

If you look at the data, you'll see that there were 60 applications that had 7 points for the Peaches Ridge archery permit. Of those 60, only 14 were selected.
