I tried some on at cabelas tonight they felt great, figured I would ask around before I spent 280 on a boot, also tried on the meindl air hunters which also felt really nice. Any other good boots out there? I'm looking for a do it all boot everything from pheasant hunting to high country bear would like to spend less then 300$

I have had the perfekt and so far it is the best boot I have had for my feet.  They are getting worm out at this point after 5 years but well worth the price if they fit you feet well..  They have been more durable than my kenetreks and I think another pair of perfekts will be in the closet shortly.

I use the Meindl Air Revolutions (I think they're called) during the early season and love them.

LoJack do you have any issues with the airs sole being too thin on rocky terrain? Do you feel every little rock and bump?

Love mine.   Remember to save the little shims.
Wear them until the cork foot bed compresses then pull the inside bed, put the shim in and replace.  Otherwise they will be loose.
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.

Im with huntnnw... my meindls (bought around same time as his) have been the worst $300 I remember spending on hunting. After 3 years of wearing them (second pair after 1st leaked right away) now they are basically being held together with freesole. The leather is tearing and rubber peeling etc. I wont buy another pair. Seems like they took forever to break in, then almost instantly wore out.

Shims- ( couldn't think of a better word) in the box are 2 flat insoles that are a little more than 1/16" thick.
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.
