Good work Moochie97! That claw is impressive and I'm sure it tasted good! Solid 8"er for sure...  That pic is a real good example on how to measure and post for the competition.

I've never crawdaded before.

Last season I was able to fish but no hunting, never even bought a small game license.  This year, it looks like I won't be doing any hunting OR fishing, only crabbing.  I gotta get my fix somewhere...

I get the idea of trapping bugs, seems straight forward enough and I can learn as I go.  Anyone care to share any tips on how to cook, clean and eat the little buggers once I catch some?

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

Hey Elkpiss - this is twice now you've knocked someone's big crawdad.  Please keep your passive agressive comments to yourself.  Moocher97 caught a great dad and the way I see it it's a legit 8 incher. One claw or two it doesn't matter.  This is suppossed to be fun.  Just because you use a laughing emoticon doesn't make your comment funny.

I thought it was funny, he's just joking  :dunno: , no big deal it's just Elkpiss. I don't think any of us are that sensitive are we? We're all just having some fun like we did last year.

That's a nice 8 incher.  I'm gonna put out some traps in a few different places tomorrow.  Hopefully I can get something to post on Thursday.   I'm saving my honey hole from when I was a kid for later this summer.  I use to get a few around 8 inches out of it back in the day.

Careful guys the State may get involved in this like the coyote mania contests and deem them illegal.  :chuckle:

20 some years ago i did a scuba dive below the Gonzaga bridge in Spokane. There are some daddys down there the size of lobsters. Swift and deep though

On another note..........Lake craws don't  bother me, but I kinda wonder about the Spokane river ones due to the upstream heavy metal contamination and them end stage feeders. Eating wise I'm talking

Hehe you guys are funny. No offense taken. It's really not "my" crawdad I mean it's kinda a team effort my other friend Kyle and Matthew hunter are friends of mine and got a good Idea to go do some crawdading. Kyle and Matt made some pots and I got a boat we use. I just posted the picture because I was the only one with pictures . We probably had five 7+ inchers . It was weird a lot of the crawdads had missing limbs for some reason. We were throwing 4 inchers away because they were all so big!
