best pro shop for bowtech?
« on: May 07, 2014, 05:05:23 PM »
Hey guys,

Looking to get into my first bow this weekend. Been a rife hunter for 8 years; but finally squirrel away enough cash for a bow.

Done all the research I can do online; now it is time to go to a pro shop and put my hands on some bows. Leaning heavily towards a Bowtech.

I'm a learner, and a researcher and get excited about the process. I am looking for recommendations on pro shops and specific sales people who will be patient with me and teach me along the way… oh, and answer lots of questions.

I'll drive across the state for the right shop… I don't really care. Again, I like to learn and what this to be a positive experience.

Let me know!

Shoot many different bows Bowtech Hoyt Mathews and see which one fits you the best.If I were looking I'd check out Fletcher Setter he's at least 150 bucks cheaper then anyone else but he don't carry Bowtech.

Just took my Carbon Overdrive to Denton today and he did a full tune and really got my bow in tune. Has all the new bows in stock and a lot off high quality accessories in stock. Also has an indoor range to shoot at. Great guy, very smart and a great shop to take your stuff too. Definitely a +1 for Rock Creek Archery.
This is the year im going to get drawn, i can feel it. NOT SELECTED, NOT SELECTED, NOT SELECTED, NOT SELECTED, NOT SELECTED, NOT SELECTED... damn :(

Thanks guys!

I just went up to Nock Point and talked with Bill for a few hours and shot a bunch of bows. He was great and spent a bunch of time talking me thru each and every feature. It was a very positive experience. I know he doesn't carry Bowtech; but Nock Point is 5 min from my house, so getting a bow from a local pro shop that will service it for free, install upgrades for a big discount and gives you free range time seems like a win.

The Hoyt Charger felt real nice. But so did the Martin Eclypse.

Leaning towards the Charger.

What do you guys think??
