avian x or hunter specialties
« on: May 13, 2014, 10:40:34 PM »
I've never used a decoy before but after this year's gobbler I feel that he would have came in quicker and easier. Am not going to spend the $$ on a Dave smith, and they are to bulky. So, I really like the look of the avian X and the 2014 hunter specialties Snoods. Between the 2 which so you guys prefer? Looking to get a Jake and hen. Thanks!

I've got an Avian X hen and it is a really nice decoy.  I don't know anything about the other one.  I have only had mine a year but have not gotten anything using it and did not hunt this year.

Killed my bird with an avian x hen. Really good looking decoy for being a packable one.

I purchased a Avian X hen decoy this year.  It's much more realistic looking then the cabelas's decoy I've been using for several years.  The Avian X inflates/deflates easily.  It's a bit heavier then I would have expected for a packable decoy.  I cover a lot of ground on foot when I hunt so I just pack around the one decoy.  And I hunt public land so as a safety precaution I don't use a jake decoy.

I've killed one bird this year so far and I don't think he ever saw the decoy.  He did a end-around on me and came in from behind me.  But I'm sure once a Tom get's his eyes on the Avian X he will come in a runnin'.  Usually no need to call once the bird sees the decoy.

Avian X.  Packable, and realistic.  I usually take two with me running and gunning.  I do have jake decoy that is very realistic but don't use it as often.  They are deadly I think

Avian X.. you can let the air out for easier packing. But also come with carry bags so not bad to carry in blown up.

Can any of you speak on what kind of AVIAN X deek? Lookout? Feeder?

Buying one tomorrow night for my weekend trip. Went once already this year and called those BASTA$#& in within 50 yards but they wouldnt show themselves out of the brush.

I need something to finish the transaction!
The deer are exactly where you find them, and no where you dont!
