RIP... my bottle of Johnny's.

We've been through a lot together: moves, get togethers, breakups, college finals. After more time than anyone should be allowed to keep a condiment, I finally poured my last of my Johnny's seasoning salt on some burgers tonight. I like the stuff, but apparently not too much that I let it last for untold years in my seasoning rack. I guess I'm not much of a condiments guy--perhaps that's why I still fit the clothes I had when it came into my life. I didn't even buy the bottle new--who knows how old it was when I got it. this much is sure, it will be missed. Burgers just aren't the same without it. Therein lies the dilemma: since Johnny's is a Tacoma speciality, who knows whether I'll find a replacement bottle down here in the Southwest where I now reside.

So now the question is: what nationally available seasoning salt can best replace it, if anything?

We go through 1 of those every 2 months it's the only seasoning bottle in the cabinet that doesn't even have a lid.

I have been using Tony's since I have left Louisiana in the '80s, and Johnny's just does not measure up.   What was once only available as a cajun secret is now available to Yankees in the local Fred Meyer.

I replace Johnny's with Cavender's Greek All Purpose Seasoning years ago...That and Tony's Creole I haven't had the need for Johnny's.

I love Johnny's, I keep little bottles everywhere in case I should need it. Costco should have it, but if you can't find any  I'd be happy to send you a bottle. To me there is no replacement.

A few of you have mentioned Costco so I'll check it out. While the size of the bottle I'll likely walk out with will be a 3x lifetime supply as another poster pointed out, it will likely be the cost of shipping alone.
