Swift-
I really like his set up. Been using it for about 8 years now.

I use the globe front with steel cross hairs. Depending on the gun and load, either a Williams rear peep or an adjustable Lyman 57 rear.

With my old .50 Winchester X-150: 110 grains 3f T7, PR Bullet Double Duplex 175 grain, RWS Musket cap. Zeroed at 200 yards. Within 5" POI from 50 to 200 yards. I like to shoot at milk jugs full of water. Resting cross hair on top of cap I can bust them at 300 yards with a fair rest in the field.

With my .451 White Super 91: 90 grains 3f T7, No Excuses 460 grain, RWS #11 cap. Zeroed at 100 yards. Dial Lyman up to (??) and zeroed at 300 yards. I don't remember if it was 16 minutes or 26 minutes. It obviously drops like an asteriod but 460 grains hits like an asteriod!  :)

Williams peep with a fiber front....I can kill a milk jug at 180 yards all day long.  Personally I am not a fan of the globe type sights....they cover up to much of my target.

I hear ya. The globe takes some getting used to. Most of my hunting buddies prefer just a bead up front for exactly that reason.
