I drew rimrock archery tag and a alkali bull tag. I have hunted rimrock a ton but never alkali I know a lot of it is army training grounds. are you allowed on the grounds to hunt? any info would be awesome thanks..

You can only kill one elk. Pick your location I guess...there is a process to be allowed onto the firing range to hunt. Some safety training, you hunt around there schedule. It's a tough hunt. It sucks that you used all your points on one elk. Start doing your homework now on the Alkali if you want to hunt.

To get on the training center you show up at main gate. They send you to the gym and you watch a PowerPoint and sign some papers. Pay ten bucks and get a map and card. then go to police station and register weapons. Then go to the front gate and sign in to what areas you want to go in. You have to have orange on at all times even in your car.

In my opinion, you should concentrate on the Rimrock quality permit. Especially since you already know Rimrock. It sucks, but I'd throw that Alkali permit in the garbage.

I've never had to pay cause I'm AD but the buddy I went with only has to pay $10, this was in the fall?

well they did rob all my points for both. I'm going to scout both and if its comes down I have a back up plan.. sept is way to far way. going to be way to may nights with out sleep.
