A Good Problem To Have
« on: June 11, 2014, 07:00:09 PM »
My brother, my father and I all drew ML tags for West Klickitat cows and Yale Bulls so now I have the hard choice of sticking to scouting West Klickitat or go all in on Yale. Defininetly a lot boot rubber is going to get burned up this year!!! We should have 3 generations of my family all hunting at the same time.  :IBCOOL: Also any tips about the Yale hunt would be appreciated. I know snow effects it a lot and not a ton of public ground, but should still be a blast

Sounds like fun. Who is the third generation? A son, nephew, grandfather?

I think in this case I'd do the Yale hunt and pass on the West Klickitat.

My grandfather is the third generation. He is the one who used to take me hunting when I was just a little kid in his camper and old willys jeep, but I never got the chance to have a successful hunt with him. Hoping to change that this year  :)

Cautiously optimistic that the next good problem to have will be freezer space.  :IBCOOL:

Planning on using early season mostly just for scouting then hitting the first week of late season in West Klickitat. If that doesn't pan out then using the bull tag since its good for the first two weeks in December. Just means scouting two areas.......

Thanks!!! I would really love to have a nice 6 point thrasher to hang on the wall, but at the least I am sure memories will be made!

I spent a week in Yale last year and never saw a 6 point thrasher.  May have better luck in W. Klick.  Just saying as Yale gets pounded hard and they area keeps shrinking doing to housing expansions.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
