Colockum Cow / Rifle
« on: June 16, 2014, 10:43:26 AM »
I drew this tag as my 4th choice although I had thought I had cowechie as my 4th choice, too late now to complain. Looks like it could be a zoo in there with all the tags they gave out. Like to go scout it and learn the road system. Any advice on where to start to look. Is there a separate map I can buy of the Colockum Area? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The Naneum Ridge State Forest map would be a good one, but as far as I know, it's only available online so you have to print it yourself. The good news is- it's free.

Drive around until you see one. And shoot it. There is a refuge area named Aurthor something? Maybe concentrate your efforts there? Most people don't know about the refuge so keep it quite please. Hopefully this PM will help you out some? Good luck and let me know how it turned out?

Contact the FISH and game office in Wenatchee and ask for a green dot map. This will show all open roads in the area. They are free but may charge postage(might check online, might be able to print off). Like said earlier, can be an easy tag to fill. Have fun!!
