This does bring up a story I almost forgot about .. :chuckle: A few years ago we were hunting geese on some leased land ..A friend has leased it for years and decided to invite me over ..Never have they had any trouble with the law until I showed up  :chuckle: :chuckle: We were shooting the heck out of some honkers and it was the best goose hunt I ever been on ..We were waiting for our last flock to show up since we only needed 4 more geese to limit ..well here they come ...We dump 3 and as they were flying off we see this green looking blazer just ripping threw the corn field we were set up in ...They get to us and start screaming ..PUT YOUR GUNS DOWN ---PUT YOUR GUNS DOWN AND LETS SEE YOUR HANDS  :dunno: :yike: There were 3 federal wardens and they were just butt heads ...They said we watched you guys for over an hour and we are sure you are way over your limit  :dunno: We had them in a pile behind the blinds ...they check them out and become angrier .. :chuckle: after they were down they ended up flipping over 150 shell decoys trying to find our over the limit ...Well that never happened and they just left ... I THINK THE FARMER SENT THEM A BILL FOR TEARING UP HIS FIELD TRYING TO GET TO US ! As much as they monitor facebook you sure would think they would be all over this  :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle:  I always seem to be in the wrong place at the right time when it comes to wardens  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Just think BH45, pretty soon the wardens may have a surveillance drone dedicated to just following you around....    :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
hey ...where I live now I see law enforcement on an every day basis ... :chuckle: I will set out my trail cam and show you  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Thought he was going to shoot the dog too!  Shooting over your partner that close I hope he had ear protection.  Crazy day and age when posting illegal activity is something to be proud of.  Doesn't surprise me at all though.

Good eye Rad. That's what I saw way before the 4 shot 870. Dangerous bunch of guys in my opinion besides being illegal.

Guys, have you not read UC's book?  Washington only cares about shellfish:-(. waterfowl most likely falls in the "nobody gives a sh.." Category.

Man ..I am all over the board lately .. I think animals mean more to the state of Washington than people ... they seem to want to punish people more for game violation than they do for someone killing someone ...I wish they would put all this energy in removing drug dealers off the street and start saving children ...little off topic !

Have a look at Lincoln county.  See the size in square miles?  There is 1 (one) game officer for that entire area.  Is that too much?
If we were spending as little on drug enforcement as we are on enforcing game laws, there would be a drug dealer on every street corner.
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

there was a benelli nova and an 870 that touched off four rounds.
some of those guns will "float" a fourth shell on the carrier with 2 3/4" shells, I had a stoeger pump that would do it. I know some guys have bragged about doing it with benelli semi autos with a few modifications.
doesn't mean you should put four in it :dunno:
lol really? Of course it doesn't mean it's ok to put in four shells, I'm just saying that it is possible to do even if you still have a plug in your gun. In no way is floating a shell legal.

I'm not defending it or saying it's ok, but is the " floating" a 4th shell thing in a factory gun with a plug illegal?? The regs say a gun "capable" of holding more than 3 shells .. So does that make a gun that has a plug in it and has not be modified in anyway that can do the float thing illegal??

Yes. If you have a 3 1/2" gun... with a plug made for 2-3 1/2" shells in the mag... and game warden can put 3-2 3/4" shells in it... you're screwed.
Whether its factory or not... law states "May not be able to" meaning there should not be any floating.

Jimbo: "That's right, Stanley. Animals are much easier to shoot in the morning."
