Went for a hike, found a few grouse!
« on: June 22, 2014, 10:43:09 AM »
The family went for a hike on the Upper Dungeness and we saw a few birds.  Always good to see some chicks!

There was an image of a chick being held, I removed it, as to stop the comments about it, thinking back on it I know it was not best for the animal, I wanted to show my daughter, but I realize now that there are better ways.  I enjoy this site because members keep other members respectful of nature around them and I know I will not be doing that again.  Snapping a photo will do until my daughter can spot them better on her own.

I hope you released that grouse chick.
One should never pick up a chick or a fawn or any small wildlife.

Don't think you want to touch them as their mother will dis own them
