New muzzle loader?

What would you guys suggest for a rookie?  I want to keep the budget low.  I have no idea whats legal here but any links for a legal beginners muzzleloader would be greatly appreciated.

Thus my question to dedication because dedication will generally cost and you should be prepared as a rookie to accept that fact otherwise you're just p'n in the wind.

1.  Around $200 for the gun.  I understand accessories will be extra $.
2.  Elk and possibly deer.
3.  Not going to become some smoke pole history buff.
 But I am willing to give it a go.
4.  Yes.
5.  Yes.

Why would you be sorry? 

I'm not looking to read for two hours to hear every ones opinions on the best muzzy.  Not looking to become a muzzy expert.  My question is simple.  What's a good available legal low cost muzzleloader?  That's it.  I don't really care if you feel I need to research myself.  That's why I asked here so I don't have to.  I didn't ask for the best way to research buying a muzzy did I.  If I had your response would have been spot on!

Dedicated enough to spend 300-400 to get setup.  Willing to practice regularly.  Is that dedicated enough?

Get a CVA Optima V2 northwest legal model for $308 shipped to your door.
Yeah I know it's not a Knight, but it's affordable, shoots well and is easy to clean. They have other models for less $ as well. Get yourself a model that has  a breach plug that removes with out tools. The break action model like the Optima are real handy.

If I post just buy this type of muzzle loader would that not construe another opinion to wade through?  Had more information like that rant you fired back been more forthcoming at the beginning of your thread I could have just stated buy what you want and forget wading through research and everyones opinions.

I missed the target you presented with your question, since the word "Rookie" occurred in the opening line. I am now better informed that you are aware of legal muzzle loaders as you previously mentioned you were not, as well your budget is considerably more generous than suggested.
Those were valid questions I posed  for a "Rookie" so I also posted a Sorry in anticipation to a predictable outcome occurring in this thread. 

Buy the best, forget the rest! Spend money on junk you will get junk, just my opinion. Knight all the way! Just my opinion! Same goes for powder, bullets, accessories, ram rods, speed loaders, sabots, caps.
Hell, just my opinion!  Oh wait I forgot you're not interested in that.

I would look for a used Knight muzzleloader. I have seem some pretty reasonable the last couple years. I think the Knight Wolverine is a more affordable version. I have the bighorn which would be good too if you find a good deal on a used one.

No matter what brand I have found the breach plug that is removable without tools a great feature.

There is a used TC black diamond in the classifieds right now for $300 with what appears to be everything you would need accessory wise even.  Worth a look at least
