Bank fishing for salmon chelan falls
« on: July 09, 2014, 07:29:24 AM »
Anyone know if this is worth while? I will be in chelan for 4 days and want to have a crack at a chinook. Anyone catch sockeye from the bank here as well?

Go just downstream of wells dam ( drive to the boat launch then it's right down stream there)There's usually a bunch of people in rv's and bank fishing there. Don't thing chelan falls would work from bank.

Seen a bunch of people bank fishing by Wells, just no catching.  In the many times I've fished out of my boat up there, I've only seen one fish caught from shore.   :twocents:

Yes the Chelan Falls Park by the powerhouse has a 15 ft. wide clearing to cast from and watch the salmon swim back and forth. Or bring a wagon to carry all your gear out on Wells Dam
