Sleeping Bag
« on: July 14, 2014, 12:25:39 PM »
I'm looking for a down sleeping bag that won't break the bank, yet is light weight in the 15-20 degree range, thoughts?

What is "break the bank"? Good sleeping bags are very expensive, especially light ones. If you would give a price range, it would help a lot.

:yeah: You either have to be willing to spend a little extra or get gear that's a little heavier. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as quality, light, and cheap

I have a mummy bag from GI Joes that cost me about $20. I think it's rated to like 10-15 degrees or something. But it is heavy and big. It's not my  backpacking bag so I am not bothered by the weight.

I just ordered a new bag from Feathered Friends. Mummy, down, water resistant shell, all of 1lb 12oz, $350 plus shipping. I looked at a lot of reviews and there were several top bags that fit my needs but I liked supporting a WA based company.
