We are fishing Sunday with Pacific Salmon Charters.

Went fishing today. WOWSER

6 people didn't show up, didn't bother to call the charter and cancel.

4 of us headed out to get 12 fish.

we split the crew--- the wife and I took the port side, my brother and an older gent took the starboard side. The skipper and deckhand were ready for combat.

Wife and I had first 6 legal fish in the box inside 40 minutes.
We baited and reset rods while the other team struggled with natives and lost fish  for the last 6.

12 keepers, 19 long line releases, 21 native coho--by 0830.

got our limit and headed home.

1 chinook, 11 silvers.

Wife had biggest silver in the derby when we left.

Nicely done Hookedonquack 20. Always nice to see somone young take it away from the other guys.Win it again and I will give you a trip on my boat..

Weather has not been too bad. NOAA is always conservative. If you are not confident just be careful. Fishing this weekend should be great again. Has been pretty consistant. Combined seas are still fishable. If you are going out of Ilwaco go North. If it blows too bad it will be a following sea for the return ride in.
