External Frames

I've been looking for a while at different frames to use for meat hauling and possibly back country camping at some point in the future.  Right now the main purpose and one I will focus on is packing meat as well as tree stands and other heavy items around the woods.  With just getting married and the hunting supplies for an elk hunt that I purchased I have no budget at all, only a few Cabelas gift cards to work with.  It looks like they have 4 frames to choose from and am curious which one you guys would get.  I am new to the frame world and know these 4 are entry level, universal fit frames and that there is a lot better stuff out there.  For now though, these are my options.  This pack will not be used often, maybe twice a year for meat.  I would like the option to buy a pack that goes onto it next year or so and start bivy camping. So, which would you recommend?

I bough the Alaskan Outfitter frame a few years ago.  It has been my go to meat hauler waiting at the truck after my initial trip out with my BL 2200.  I love the frame and suspension, functional load lifters, hip belt padding, reverse pulls on the belt for cinching down the load, extendable cross bar at the top of the frame and blaze orange meat shelf.  The zippered pocket at the bottom of the foldable meat shelf is also convenient for storing extra rope, snacks, etc for the pack out. There are a few other small details that make the frame a great choice but overall, it is a great piece of equipment, especially for the price.  I would highly recommend this frame.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

If you dont mind, what is your height and weight and how is the fit of the pack for you?  Does it distribute the majority of the weight, when packed, to your waist/hips and relieve the shoulders?

I have the Alaskan II frame and it works just fine.  Its going to be a backup this year because of my other packs capabilities.  It will save you $40.

I'm 5'10", 155.  It fits perfectly but the pack does have a torso adjustment to accommodate different sizes.  At least my model does from a couple years ago- I can't imagine that feature would go away.
