late season unit 113
« on: July 23, 2014, 02:46:28 PM »
New to the forum as of today. Looking to pick your guy's brains on chasing white tail late season in unit 113.  To put your mind a little at ease, you wont be adding another road hunter to the mix, nor will I bring 8 buddys with me. I strictly hunt alone. What im looking for is the elevation I should be concentrating on, what if any, rut activity I can expect, or mabey be pointed to a general area to check out. Any feedback would be awsome, thanks

I ran into a few while moose hunting in the 113 a few years ago! If you're willing to walk. I saw some up off of Cee Cee Ah Peak and some over near Petit Lake. PM me if you want more information. Hope this helps.

I've hunted there for awhile now. I see most deer within 2 miles of the river. There is a lot of public land in that area. Scouting trips will help you a lot. Good luck.

Saw most of the wolf sign in the areas that there were animals (Deer and Moose) I think they stay close to animal they can kill. It's a shame.
