Mountain House meals at Costco
« on: July 28, 2014, 04:45:03 PM »
Just thought I would pass this along. Costco has boxes of Mountain House meals (13 pouches) for $60 ($4.62 each).

Meals are:

3) Breakfast Skillet
3) Beef Stroganoff
3) Rice and Chicken
3) Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
1) Apple Crisp

Costco.com I believe has a wider selection. I'll check when I go back in from break.

Thanks.   Not bad.  A box or two of these, some propane, and canned food is good enough for a week or so. Water is a far more critical supply.

Costco normally has great deals. Especially on their seasonal items/road show stuff.

Yep, best place to get them (that I have discovered).

Order direct. Normally every spring they have a large sale at reduced prices.

Glad to see Costco has a new variety to choose from. In past years they only had one selection. WinCo foods has a good selection for a decent price - but they are not restocking until next year.

Last year at one point, I'm uncertain of the reason or occasion but I found the cases of Mountain House Meals for $40 at Costco. To say the least, I wish I would have bought a few extra cases. Thanks for the ordering direct suggestion Billy.   I will try that

They were $40 last couple of years, but the price jumped up quite a bit this year.  Still a great buy though.

How about a freeze dried snickers bar?  I bet they try all kinds of things.  My kids love the ice cream.

I came across some new meals at Walmart. They are manufactured by Wise Company and National Geographic. The Wise Company are 4 servings. The National Geographic are 2 servings and packaged just line the Mountain House meals. But both are cheaper than Mountain House.
