Anyone else fishing the derby when the storm hit?

No, I specifically stayed home so the weather and fishing would hold  :bash:. Last year it rained just before we got there and while fun, fishing was not as good as it was prior to the rain. Was the storm just electrical and wind or was there rain too?

Not really any rain. Wind kicked up and made for an interesting ride back to the launch. Was hoping someone had pictures or video of the storm. All I have is the pictures of the dust cloud moving in.

Oh man I bet that was rough getting back to the Brewster launch. I fished Friday and Sunday, glad I missed that storm.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Roughest ride I've ever had. 4+ foot wind waves stacked steep and close together. Took about everyone over the bow, glad it's self bailing.

Wow, that really looks not fun. Gald you all made it back fine even if you took on a little water, self bailing would certainy be a bonus for situtions like that.
