Refund of license
« on: August 11, 2014, 05:19:30 PM »
Last month I bought my license/ tags. I bought the bear, cougar, deer and elk package for $97.50. I have recently been diagnosed with a brain disorder and will be having brain surgery in the middle of September. Being that I will only have the opportunity to hunt bear, does anyone know if I can be refunded? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you contacted WDFW directly about this?

I honestly just thought about it a little while ago and I figured they would be closed. I just moved to Washington so I don't have any experience with the WDFW but I thought that someone might have had a similar situation and might be able to help

Your best bet is to contact WDFW Licensing: 360.902.2464.

They may or may not but it's worthwhile to try.

I don't know how you are set for finances but $97 would be the least of my worries if I had to have a brain operation. I'm pulling for you to be ok and hope that you come out the other side of this with no problems. If you have any buddies on here that can keep the forum updated to your condition to see if any of us can contribute to your recovery if you needed it? Never sweat the small s**t as the real important things in life will get passed up if you do.

I totally agree with you. I'm not saying that the $97 will change my life, but if I can get it back why not try. I just moved to Washington and I know only a few guys, none on here. Thank you for your kind words!

pcal, I was just in your neck of the woods doing some bear hunting this weekend! That is if you still live in Bremerton!

Sorry for not updating this. But after I called WDWF they said I could get a full refund. All I need to do is mail in my tags along with a medical note from my doctor.
