Winthrop fire
« on: August 11, 2014, 06:47:34 PM »
Hey all, So Im getting ready to head over to winthrop in a few weeks and was just wondering if anyone could give me a heads up on the burn areas around there. Im gonna be a few miles above town. Was that hit by the Carlton complex fire or any other fire? I know Everything could be different by the 1st, especially since we have thunder storms rolling in the next couple days. But any kind of update wether thats buned up or not would be much appreciated. Would hate to get over there and my hunten grounds be burned. Thanks
To God alone be the Glory!!

You should find what you need in the links above. Note that a good portion of the valley is currently closed for recreational use.

Just got back, kind of depends on where your "huntin grounds" are,Fire burning up Bear,Cougar,Pearrygin and moving towards Ramsey, but i think they got fire lines that are holding so far and keeping it out of Ramsey :dunno:. Fire burning(and getting bigger)up around the Falls creek/8 mile area. Alot of smoke and a lot of road closers and more lightning on the way from what i hear. As you said still a few weeks off but it sure doesnt look good right now....my opinion and my :twocents:
