marinade for venison steak
« on: August 17, 2014, 01:17:02 PM »
I have a bush full of hot peppers and would like to marinade the venison.
How long should I wait until cooking? I was thinking 2 to 3 days.
Crockpot? Dutch Oven?
Thanks

I've marinated for 24-48 hours with great results. You might want to think about picking some blackberries and making pepper jelly with all those peppers and using that as a marinade....so delicious . I usually do crockpot if it's a big roast for 8 hours, otherwise hot and quick on the stovetop with the backstraps and smaller steaks.
