What awful conditions this year in the south!
« on: December 09, 2008, 07:54:42 AM »
Anyone else fighting terrible hunting conditions this year for the late muzzle season?  Dry and warm weather, crunchy leaves, none of it is condusive for chasing bucks.  I was hunting in a T shirt last week.  And its December!  I've only seen one small buck and a handful of does.

Anyone else having a hard time fighting the weather this year?

It's been good for camping but that is about it.  :bash:

Feels like the winters in Arizona...this is still Washington?  I think its the calm before the storm.   just to late for hunting!!
The wife said if I go hunting 1 more time, she's going 2 leave me!!  Gosh I'm gonna miss her.

We needed an easy winter fr both deer and the elk.  Now to get enough moisture for the water.

The news is forecasting snow in the valley floor (Willamette) and snow levels down to 1500.  Right where I like them!  This weekend is shaping up... :IBCOOL:

Oh, I know.  Its coming down to the wire.  Although I live in Vancouver, I hunt near Mt. Adams, so the elevation will be a little higher.  Hopefully in time for the very last weekend for blackpowder.

In Brush Prarie?!

I'd ask where you're talking about, but I am not trying to take away your little spot.   ;)
