I just learned the difference between blueberries and blue hucks, I always just thought the blueberries were unripe blue hucks. They are definitely more tart and a little more seedy.

Bumper crop of huckleberries here in the Blues this year. Haven't seen them this thick since I moved here in 2001. We got 3 gallons the other day.

I've noticed the same thing. Last year there were few to none in the usual places, but this year they seem to be everywhere.

Went up above Greenwater on the 7030 up around Kelly Butte and there was a lot of huckleberries on the North facing slopes. We picked for 2 hours and got 4 gallons. Just need to figure out how to get the staining out of my hands. Good luck!!!!!

LittlePathfinder and I went out one more time for berries last weekend here in the Blues. I think we got in on the tail end. Most we found were starting to shrivel and fall off. Already quite a bit of frost up there. Still, we made out with about 1 1/2 gallons.
