Lewis river bugling

Anyone hunting the Lewis river unit having a hard time getting the bulls to talk!? I had a few sound off Friday evening but haven't heard a thing the last two days :bash: If u are getting them to talk what tactics are you using?? Good luck to all of you!!!

I hope they start tonight. Only supposed to get up to 75 which means about 68 where I'm going. Crossing my fingers they start to get a little more vocal and get to moving

I hunted the first week from the ridge tops and didn't hear a bugle from morning til night except an estrous cow that I ran into and heard a light squeal behind her.  She was a first.  I've seen YouTube videos of it, but have never seen one live.  I would have bet my bow that it was another hunter.  I even stood up to encounter the hunter when she came by me at 20 yards.  I'm not sure there is enough time left in the season for them to get fired up.

Theyll fire up the day after season ends. Its part of the states plan to collect lots of money and screw the sportsmen.... :bash:

Was down there there for 4 days last weekend. Didnt hear a peep out even the ones we saw....

Cle Elum Had a bull behind me this A M bugling for cows. There starting to come in. Seems like the 13 /14 they get going pretty good right at the end. Did you guys voice your opinion on date changes?
