My First Post should probably start with Pics
« on: December 10, 2008, 09:20:51 AM »
Well here is my first post.  A friend referred me to this site as we were talking about rumors from other hunters & game departments - he said I should see what these folks are talking about.

Anyway - The pic is my WA buck from 2007 - I got skunked in 2008 after 20 days of hunting in WA & ID.  The only really good news that came out of 2008 is that my wife bought me Remington Model 700 XCR in .300 Ultra Mag.  So I am now in the process of gathering information on loading if anyone has any suggestions.

Since I am rambling - back to the pic - No good stories, just luck of being in the right place at the right time.  It is my largest mule deer be a large stretch.  It scored 169 6/8 non-typical net.  outside spread to the edge of the kicker is about 29 1/2 inches - Inside spread is about 24.  I was hunting by myself and none of my field pics turned out, so one is from the the taxidermists table and the other is from my living room after I received it back from the Taxidermist.

That is one heck of a good looking buck.  Probably one of my favorite racks I have seen this year.  Lots of character!
