Not much of a story - first light, by myself, at about 100 yards running dead away from me. I sent one 140 grain Nosler Accubond out of my .270 right up his rear missing his hole by about an inch. Took out his hip, guts, and lungs and dropped in his tracks.
As far as what Unit - well it is in 113 - For those that have hunted this unit before, you probably know that you don't see many mule deer, because it is so brushy. But because they aren't seen that often, they do grow some big bucks. Success rate in that unit is really quite low to my knowledge. I didn't go there this year, because I spent my time in Idaho. Based on tag soup for 2008, that may have been a very poor decision.
